As I told you in class, I want you to do three simple English tasks during these looooooong holiday.
I explain them here again:
1. Christmas story: write your Christmas story in the assigned template (the same one as for the informal letter).
Instructions:
-Remember to use past tenses (it's a story!)
-Be creative and use your imagination.
-A good way of starting a story is writing "Once upon a time..." (Érase una vez)
2. Book report: fill a book report (new format) for the book that you've chosen in class.
Instructions:
-Complete all sections in the report
-Search for the words that you don't know when reading! (it's a great way to learn)
3. Film review: in the same way as you do it with books. tell us something about the Christmas film that you've chosen.
There are many Christmas films on Netflix, Movistar+, HBO, Amazon Prime... and if you do not have access to these platforms, you can find some of them for free on YouTube or choose one that you watch on TV/ cinema during Christmas time.
Recommended films
Here you have a list with recommended titles (it's better if you watch them in English with English subtitles! You're ready to do that):
- Home Alone
- Klaus
- Polar Express
- The Grinch
- The Christmas Chronicles
- Arthur Christmas
- Nightmare before Christmas
- A Christmas Carol
- Frosty the Snowman
- Jack Frost
- A Christmas story
- Santa Buddies
Merry Christmas to all of you and your families.
Enjoy this beautiful time of the year with your loved ones.
See you in 2020!
Love,
Mery
